Due to mix up of some numbers and names, we ask that you keep this award from public notice until your claim has been processed, and your winning Atm Card have been sent to you or remitted to your account, as this is part of our security protocol, to avoid double claiming and unwarranted taking of advantage of this program by participants, as has happened in the past" then im asked to send a veryfication form with my name address, country of origin, dob, occupation, fax, phone#,marital status, and my winning numbers which have been given to me already in the email.what is this is this true?also 10% of the money given to me will be given to THE PROMOTIONS COMPANY BC they played the ticket 4me

  1. Sorry friend but there is no Microsoft, Yahoo or other e-mail lottery, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information. The following sites give more information

    http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/nigeri...

    http://www.thescambaiter.com/forum/showt...

    http://www.hoax-slayer.com/email-lottery...

.Also If you go to the following site you will get some info on ID theft www.identity-theft.org.uk the iinternet is safe enough if you are careful but please answer nothing that you are doubtful about.Good Luck and be careful

  2. It's a scam.  If you're dumb enough to send your info, they will then come up with some excuse why they need more info, or for you to pay the postage, or something like that.  If you play along for long enough they'll milk more and more money out of you, and/or steal your identity.

Look up terms such as "419 scam" for more info.  The scam originated in Nigeria, and it's called 419 because it violates law #419 in the Nigerian legal code.

Also check out www.419eater.com for a guy who tries to get back at them - it's really funny.

  3. BE CAREFUL! you can do a Yahoo or Google search and a lot of different scams like this can be found. Now if your actually interested in a REAL and LEGITIMATE opportunity then I suggest checking out the following link:
