I got an email from Mr. Robert Wallace from Apex City London Hotel for RECEPTIONIST position. Is it a scam??

Question

At first, he asked me to send a latest copy of my CV so I did. Then, after 4 days he sent me interview questionnaires. I answered all those questions last feb. 23, 2008 and got a response last feb. 25 asking if i am willing to take responsibility of the applicable fees and assessment test which I need to pass first (U.K embassy here in Manila).

When I checked the said hotel's website, the information is just the same, the email address used is not free like that of yahoo, MSN, etc. --- Please, I'm also interested but I need help from you guys. If you know somebody working for that hotel, please ask if there's an employee named ROBERT WALLACE, a PERSONNEL AND TRAINING ASSISTANT. Thank you very much in advance.

I think you should mark it spam ,and not send any personal info like your social security number and id number they can steal your identity ,if you are not care full.you say they want money there scamming you they are trying to trick you .

I just received this thing in my e box they want me to send them money for "package" i did not send for ,. and this person that your communicating with wants you to pay for some service for fees don't sound good  , if you have given out some info  you shouldn't have report this person and his Email address.

If it has the following text in it it is a fraud,

It is unfortunate that crooks are able to glean so much data from the public.

I would say it is a scam too.  But let us know the website and the last bit f his email address so we can have a look and check.

here is the hotel website and there is a recruitment page there, but no receptionist poisition.  Ths is perhaps not surpising as they are maybe filled quite easily.

Yoiu also did not say why you got the email.  Was it spam or did you appl for a vacancy and then he responded?

Good luck, but anyone asking for money to help you apply for a job is probably scamming you.
