  1. Beware!  This is a scam!  Nothing ever comes good out of lottery emails.  I receive emails like these all the time, and so does my sister and best friend. Just delete them.

  2. It is spam I got one to you have to pay 700 hundred dollars .then they say you will receive your money don't do it it is a scam to get your money and you will not receive any thing in return from them.

  3. http://www.lottery.co.uk/info/scams.asp

I think this is all you need to look at.

Yes this is a scam and you might get e-mails from Africa too. I actually sent my e-mail to the FBI. (LOL) I was afrais of terrriorest.

  4. Spam, unless they show up at your door, with the check.

  5. Do NOT give them any personal information.  Chances are very high that the email you received is a phishing scam, in which you receive an email that asks you to go to a website and enter personal financial information.

In this case, I would bet the email probably says something like "Congratulations, you have won a jackpot!  To claim your prize right now, click this link, enter your bank account information and we will deposit your winnings right away!"  Or something along those lines.

What happens then is you go to the site, enter your bank numbers, and instead of depositing your prize money, they withdraw your life savings.  Don't fall for this or anything similar!
