It's also getting a bit red at the bottom opening and occasionally secreting puss. I regularly cleaned it as I was told for the first three months (after which my saltwater solution expired), and I haven't had any problems until a few weeks ago, when it started getting red all the time, and I now notice that the skin between the openings is much thinner than it used to be.

So is that normal? Can I fix it? Should I replace it, and if so, can I get it re-pierced?

  1. its not normal, it sounds like your piercing is rejecting

you should go to your piercer and get their advice..

  2. your body is deff rejecting the piercing. TAKE IT OUT ASAP. if it fully rejects ur gonna have a mean *** scar to show for it.

  3. u better take that dang thing out before you have a real problem on your hands. that thing is infected and if it gets worse, you could end up at the dr's or even a hospital. Especially if it got infected with MRSA and spreads to another part of your body.

Take it out, clean it with peroxide, check your temp for fever, and if it doesnt get better than go to a dr's office.

I wouldnt chance putting another one in, your body didnt like it the first time!

  4. if i were you, i would take it out, let it close-up and get it re-peirced, by a different place than what you got it at before.

  5. Hhhmmm, I've never heard of that happening maybe you should go to the place you got it pierced or any place that does piercings and ask them whats up

  6. I agree with the other people that said you are rejecting the piercing and you should take it out. Was this your first piercing or have you had any other piercings that you didn't reject (earlobes don't count)? If it was your first, I wouldn't try getting any more, because it probably will happen again. I recommend a product called Hibiclens that you can get from Walgreens. It comes in a green bottle. Be careful with it, it will stain your clothes and you don't want to get it in your eyes. It clears up infections in a couple of days, and you only need to use it once a day. It will probably help reduce scarring by helping you heal faster.

  7. who ever did it did not pull enough skin out take the ring out and get it redone in the same brow make sure they pull enough skin and don't wear a large ring its best to go with the smallest one so it wont do that again.

  8. The same thing happened to me . The piercer said my skin was to thin to begin with and starts to "grow out from the skin" so he said I would have to take it out and would not be able to re-pierce because the same thing would happen again !
