  1. no u dont want to use that i doubt that they would believe u and u could get a fine for that also . Just pay the ticket, it wont be that much! I had a ticket for going 92 in a 55 zone and i had to pay $400 , but i was almost 40 over, u r only 17 over, so it will be about 200 dollars!

  2. Nope................just ask the judge if you can take a defensive driving course and slow down.

  3. No.  Equipment failure is no excuse.  "I was traveling at the same speed as all the other traffic and didn't notice my speed because I was watching for traffic, dogs, children, etc."  sounds better; however, all parties know it's a pathetic excuse.

You may get out of the ticket if you make a motion with the court to see the calibration records of the equipment used to determine your speed and the officer's training records in the use of that particular equipment.  If you file this motion, don't make any statements against self interest and appeal your ticket, you may have it dropped.  It gets too costly for the court to proceed if you do this.  If you've already admitted to the officer you knew you were speeding - pay up & shut up!

  4. PAY THE TICKET, AND FIX YOUR SPEEDOMETER, SPEEDOMETER IS NO EXCUSE, FOLLOW THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC, IF IT WAS A FREEWAY AND YOU KNOW EVERYONE SPEED THEN SLOW DOWN

  5. if you say that in court they will say that you were driving a vehicle that was not in working condition and they will get you more in trouble.  i say dont do it. but good luck with that

  6. Pay it. Ignorance is no excuse. And driving a vehicle without a working speedometer is another violation.

  7. In fact you cant use this in court. If your breaking the law and you dont know it your still breaking the law.

My friend is a big g*y douche police officer and thats what he says. If you dont know the speedlimit and you go over and you tell the officer he wont care. Neither will the state.

I break the limit all the time I just limit my speeding tickets to once a year so I can do deffensive driving.

  8. Please fix your speedometer.  It's for your own protection, not just being legally correct.  BTW, if you had mentioned to the officer that your speedometer was broken, he could have ticketed you for that offense.  You really don't have a valid excuse to get out of this ticket.
