  1. What's good about your life?  What's bad about it?  The answers to those questions will tell you and us a good bit about why you got caught.

  2. better go watch  MSNBC lock up raw and prepare yourself!!!

  3. Shame on you. He's just scaring you the most you'll get is juvenile hall wish is a young detention center for people from the age of responsibility.

  4. serve you right!

  5. Well you might have to do some type of comunity service and you will also have it put on your record most likely.

  6. You may want to straighten up.  The path your are heading down will eventually get you into Juvie jail.

  7. they can. ive read books about and a couple kids in my school ended up the same way. straighten up before they kick your ***, or you'll regret it. though they cant put your mother away, the other things they said was true.

  8. I knew someone who did this in Kansas. It was their first offence. They were a minor. They took a shoplifting class, and got deferred. Which means, since she took the class, she technically did not get charged to the full extent. Once she turned 18, it would be off her record, but shown as deferred (which is not bad, because it doesn't state what exactly for). Someone would really have to dig, to find out what you got deffered for. Anyways, I'm not sure about the laws in your state, but if its your first offence, I can't see them prosecuting to the fullest extent of the law. Be sure to apologize and state you'll never do it again.

Calm down, and be relieved that you are still a minor.

  9. They can send you to prison for 5 years and fine you $250,000!!!

I hope that scares you enough to never do it again...

  10. What the cop did was divert you.  You stayed out of Juvi court.  Your mom is safe, and you need to just keep your nose clean.

  11. he can't do anything without first going into court before a judge and recommending you be put away. as for you mom, she's not going nowhere.

  12. Chances are if this is your first offense they will probably give you community service or probation. But don't let that fool you its very serious and you will need to know its going to be very expensive for your parents so this will be a lesson for you not to re offend. So consider yourself lucky that your parents don't throw you in boot camp or something.

  13. no hes lying to you to scare you.  if you didnt go to court you cant be on probation either. hes lying about that.  just dont get caught stealing again and nothing will happen to you.

  14. He's trying to scare you straight.  Just mind your own business.  Do your homework, don't shop lift, respect your elders...and learn to be a productive human.  You are 13, you made a mistake, now grow up a little and atone for your childish behavior.  Why don't you do some charity work after school to impress the probation officer, or the judge?  It's time for you to become a good kid, and not a deviant.  This is an excellent lesson, and a wonderful way to get your life on track.  You can be anything you want, and make it something that is helping others.

It's sad that 13 year olds never listen to reason, and repeat the same painful mistakes of their elders who have been their, done that.

  15. They can do that.  They probably won't, unless you don't straighten up.  The detective didn't put you on probation.  The judge did.  The detective probably only suggested it, but they can't pronounce judgement.

  16.   A "detective" can't  put you away.

He can't put your mother away either.

  17. due process of the law would not allow that in texas first offenders are intitled to probation and as far as your mother she would have to go before a judge and most likely let her go so what ever state your in the prison system are full to capacity so i doubt it if that certain detective can send you to prison for a charge that in the first place is a misdemenor

  18. and by the way thanks for raising the prices at the store you stole

    from

now we know who to blame for rasing store prices

every time someone shoplifts they are costing the store moree money

so the store has to rise proces to off set the stuff that was stolen

    thanks a lot

  19. juvenile court will emphatically sort out u r case and nurture u r studies and welfare

  20. The detective is only trying to scare the heck out of you.  They will not put you away for shoplifting.  They can make you take a class on shoplifting and put you on probation/community service.  The detective can't make you do anything, just the judge.  He'll make the order and the probation department will give you a juvie probation officer who you will report to.  They may make you give a urine sample and see how things are going in school.  But they cannot put you away for this.  It's only a shoplifting offense.

The detective can't put your mom away unless she commits a crime.  He probably wants to scare you straight.  Mention to your mom what he said and she can clear the air for you.  Don't worry about the detective.  He's trying to do you a favor.
