I got caught shoplifting at forever 21. minor, my mom wasn't contacted... please help i have some ques!?

So I was wondering what the fine was. My friends told me I was a goody-two-shoes so i wanted to prove them wrong and stole lke $39 worth of accessories. And got caught. I know I shouldnt have done it I'm so sorry for this. I'm 16, my mom wasnt called or anything (only my contact info was taken) and she was upstate so she didnt pick me up my friend whos over 18 did. What would the fine be? And he said its not going to court, like he explicity told me that

you should have gave a fake number and address they might call your mom and check the mail and phone your lucky you might get off

Well, If your not going to court for sure, you will go to a "Diversion" Class. Its were you have to go listen to some person talk about what you did, why you did it, and the what you could have, and should have done to aviod it, and aviod it in the future. you may have to just go to one, or as many as 6. in your case, you'll prob. just have one or two.

if you some reason do end up in court, you'll have community service, little, but still ome service at a church or public Library, or where ever the court tells you.  Either way, you'll also write a apology to the store (you might want to thank them for not prosecuting)

Ur a minor...u dont get fined...unless u take the stuff u stoled and then u have to pay for it....

It sounds to me like the store is not prosecuting you.  If your mom was not contacted (and she would have been since you are a minor) and the police officer or store security told you it was not going to court, then its not going to court and you probably won't have to pay a fine.  Count this as a life lesson and learn from it.  If you are caught shoplifting again, you could very well be prosecuted and then good luck finding a job that requires honesty on your part.  

So, your friends egged you on, called you a goody-two-shoes and you stole stuff huh?  I guess if they asked you to jump off of a building you would do that too?  I know that is a very old cliche, but you need to be your own person and quit having your friends run your life for you.  Don't ruin your life over some stupid name calling or peer pressure.

UNLESS THE POLICE WHERE CALLED YOU WOULD MOST LIKELY BE BANNED FROM THE STORE WITH A TRESPASS WARNING. IF THE POLICE WHERE CALLED YOU MAY GET PROBATION OR COMMUNITY SERVICE OR BOTH. IF THE OFFICER GAVE YOU A TICKET YOU HAVE TO APPEAR IN COURT. YOU ALSO WOULD HAVE TO PAY COURT COST COULD BE AS MUCH AS $300
