  1. If your fail to complete your court ordered community service, you are looking at a violation.  In CA, the courts will either allow you an extension if you have been making an effort but just have not completed your hours or if you have a great excuse for blowing it off for 4 months or they will convert it to jail time... 10 days.  Sometimes it can also be converted to a fine, but it is exorbitant, really expensive.

  2. Yes, you can expect at least a week in jail.

A lot of people who are serving community service sentences are doing time, because they didn't pass their worker's examination of the service performed.

It all depends on who the community service warden in your area is, and how tough the workers are he hires to watch over the community service performers. They are usually very, very tough.

  3. this happened to my brother in law and he didn't go to jail.

  4. hi i am a police officer from dallas and the law state my my be looking up to jail for 3 working day but i dont think u will have to go by whant u said

  5. Well.  This is what I would do.  Depending on how many hours you completed, I would call down to the courts and find out if you can get the community service frame extended.  If you have a lot of hours done, I don't think they would have a problem doing that for you.  If you don't contact them, it could turn into something bigger.
