I have myopia, 20/100, and i recently got contacts. Far away things are now easy to see, but i feel like my near-sighted vision sorta got messed up. I can still see fine, but the things i look at aren't as crisp as things far away. Is it becuz they're closer they appear this way? also, when i got my eyes examined, i didn't get very far. the last set of letters i saw i saw as double and blurry. does this mean my eye sight is actually less than 20/100? and another thing, how do i know when to use my eye lubricant (drops)? what does a dry eye feel like? call it a stupid question, but if u have the answer...

AND, yes i can tell your thinking i'm one stupid girl about now, what is so bad about sleeping with your contacts on? does it make your eye sight worse or what?

ok well thats it. your probably thinking, why didn't she just talk to her optimoloist about this? im one of those ppl who stay quiet and miss their chance, and get embarassed to ask. most people get annoyed with my questions.

  1. I would go back to your doctor about your seeing. Sleeping in them is NOT bad. I do it for a week, then take them out overnight and put them back in for a week. It also depends on what kind you have.

  2. You probably also have astigmatism. Your contacts won't be clear if your contacts are only for short-sightedness. See your Optometrist and see what they say.

Sleeping with them is bad. Your eyes can't 'breathe' as much already with them on. Imagine closing your eye lids with them on! You're literally suffocating them! You can risk infections and have red eyes when you wake up.
