I once had quite a long journey home which involved a train to London, underground across London and then another train home. I missed the train I was meant to be on at the start of the journey which meant that by the time I would have got across London the second train would have stopped for the night.

I was VERY lucky though because the train that I did get on had a major delay. When we got to London the undergrounds had all stopped too so the train company took responsibility for us being late and paid for our cab home! It cost around £120!

i did it once but i just slept on the bench in the station until next morning. i was heading home on leave from the army at the time...

I would of got a bed for the night, slept it off and then got the train the next day, wouldn't that have been about the same cost?

£47 for a minicab when a "helpful" security guard drove my company car into the firm's underground car park, locked the gates and went home.

Fell asleep back in 1999, and missed 4 stops... cost me about £20 ($40 USD) for a cab.  I also did it again another night and just got a hotel room £40.
