I got hit by a car what do I do? Who should pay?

I got hit by a car yesterday, on foot. I was not in a car and a vehicle made an illegal turn and i ended up on their hood and then on the ground. There were several witnesses, the police came, fire truck, paramedics. They took everyones statements including the witnesses who I didnt even know, and everyone agrees it was the drivers fault (she was running a red). I didnt go to the emergency room because I know I dont have any broken bones, but my back is KILLING me now.

What do I do? I dont have insurance, there is a police report with all of the drivers insurance info and stuff, but what do I do now? There is no way I can work in the condition I am in.

Call her insurance company and file a Body Injury (BI) claim.

You can still go to the ER just let them know it is related to an auto accident and give them the claim number.  You will need to have a doctors note stating that you can't wor in order to receive wage loss from the insurance company.

well when she is totally in the fault you should have went to the hospital anyway because of the case like this which your back hurts after... it was her fault she would have been paying your hospital bills.. go talk to someone at a hospital or go talk to a doctor about your situation

Go to hospital now and get seen. Keep hospital papers. Stay in bed till you recover. Get doctor to document all of this.

Get your boss to write a letter stating how much money you have loss or will be losing. Send bill to the car driver's insurance.

If not, get one of those free til you win lawyers and let them do it.

Whatever you do, remember to always state that you don't use alcohol/drugs and you weren't under any tranquilizers when accident happened.

go to the hospital and the driver would have to pay for it. and also contact the officer on the scene and let him/her know too of the back pain.
