Was riding the Motorcycle home last night from work at about 10:00 pm and got rear ended by a drunk driver talking on a cell phone...what a combination...after I got out from underneath the bike she comes up to me and says not to worry that she has bonds that will cover it. I have heard that bonds only cover their vehicle and not the one that they hit, Is there any truth to that? On my policy it says uninsured mototrist bodily injury, so i suspect that I have my have uninsured for property too. But it is Sunday and tomorrow's a holiday so I won't get any answers till at least tuesday, any help is greatly appreciated

By the way, I live in Ohio and so does the lady that hit me.

  1. I sure hope you called the police!

  2. No, the financial responsibility bond pays nothing for her damages, he has to pay for that out of pocket.  It is called upon to cover your damages.  Assuming the bond is enough to cover your damages, he will also have to top it up again.  You file with your company, and they will sue for repayment from the bond.
