I got hurt at work . workman comp is sending me to a doctor. do they pay for me when a miss work?

some time workman comp pays me for missing work and some times they do not can i get back pay from them

I don't know how WCB works where you are, but here in British Columbia, Canada, you are paid from the first day of missed work if everything is documented properly.  

Here you need to fill out an injury form yourself and give it to your employer, you also need to see a doctor and have  a medical exam that confirms the work related injury/illness.  Once both those documents arrive at the WCB office your claim is activated.

Your work should have short term disability and you will get paid a portion of your regular pay but you do need to ask about it and fill out paper work.
