She said she was bored and life was g*y. I'm not g*y but I'm pro human rights and using that word in that way is derrogatory. I answered "life is not g*y, people are g*y, maybe your problem is that your an idiot" OK maybe I took it too far with that last comment. I got reported for abuse. I appealed and said the questioner was the one that perpetuated negativity whether she new it or not. I never heard back from my appeal.

  1. First off, no one in the history of yahoo has ever received a response when they appealed.  Do a search - these a******s never respond.

Second, there are no rules.  Yahoo deletes at their whim.  They actually hire people who do nothing all day but delete answers they think are offensive.

If it's any consolation, imagine how pathetic their lives must be, these morons who do nothing but troll answers looking for responses to delete.

*whoops*  I used the "m" word.  Guess it's only a matter of time...

  2. Yeah, that sucks.  I hope you get appeal because she is one of my pet peeves, people who use the word "g*y" instead of "stupid" "dumb" "sucks" etc.  People need to learn common decency... it'd be like if I said the same thing to all of America and instead of "g*y" I said, meaning the same thing "black (as in race)".  People would be up in arms (and I wouldn't ever do that either...)!  I'm on your side!

  3. Rule of thumb - ignore questions that are really controversial!

You will not hear back from your appeal either - I know!

  4. Probably hurt her feelings cause she hasn't come out yet.

    Don't sweat it.

  5. Yeah, from what I hear it's much better to report a question like that than to respond to it.  And getting her in trouble for violation would have been more satisfying.

  6. i have seen worse questions and answers on here so i hope all those got reported too.

It maybe went a bit far lol but the question was stupid anyway

  7. this happens.some persons are just intolerant and can not stand others point of views differeng from theirs.then they should not vivit these forums.

only italian yahoo has re set my quiestions.not the USA one!

  8. use of the word "idiot" is very offensive  i am a L*****n.  You are more offensive to me than she was.

  9. Been there.(different topic,though)

  10. The questioner didn't use abusive language and, I agree, there are times when one is bored and life, as others are experiencing it, can seem g*y.  (You must have a dictionary in your home?)

The word "g*y", as a descriptive term for homosexuals, was so rarely used before the late '70's, it was a slang terminology unfamilar to the general populace.   I'm old enough to remember when friends and I would go out to have 'a g*y old time'.

Note:  Just read reply from first person - I've received two responses for each of the four times I received a Whimsical Violation Notice - they give you a Hearing Number (or something like it).  I have lost two "battles" and won two ... now that I'm 'even', all is okay (until next time, that is ...).  I requested points be taken away from someone who used foul language (called me 8 cuss-words!).  Perhaps, sending copies of the violation notice email along with abusive emails sent to me makes a difference (I sent my justification notes, in CAPS, between the lines).  I imagine there must be rows of computers keyed in to particular words, then the Offending Literature is printed out on a manned computer for a person to speed-read.
