  1. Either give your licence back or get straight back in the saddle.

  2. well you should just try to take driving lessons again...... like when you fall off the horse you just get right back on.....

  3. I bet you fell of off your bike a few times.  Each time you got back on.  Book lessons tell instructor you are nervous.  I'm sure you want to get on the road so go for it as there is nothing like Independence

  4. I know how you feel I totaled a car when I was 19 as I was scared to death to get behind the wheel again. A week later my dad got me another car to drive and basically told me that if I did not want the car he would take it back to the dealership. I starting back driving again but I was still scared to death. It took a few months but I eventually got my confidence back again. Just be patience it will take some time to get comfortable behind the wheel. I'm sure you will do fine.

  5. you have a right to be scared,,,,,,,,give it time,as long as you need it.. it took me about a month before I got into a car again

  6. Of course, plenty of people are already afraid of driving to one degree or another, even without getting into an accident. And it's no wonder; driving is a pretty scary thing. You could even argue that a little fear is good--that it helps you drive more safely.

What you're going through sounds intense enough to require some kind of active solution, however. For starters, you might want to try relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing or visualization. Also, do you know anyone who is comfortable about driving and wouldn't mind talking to you about what that's like? Another idea is to explore your driving feelings and memories with a trained therapist..................................

  7. Just think that car accidents are very rare, and by the sounds of yours, it sounds serious so again that would be even more rare. Just think that the accident wasnt your fault, and that you can do it and learn from your mistakes and you wil come out a stronger person and a good driver.

    all the best

  8. The secret is to slowly build your skills.  Once you are skilled, you will have confidence.  Confidence without skill is false self esteem.  Try practicing in a parking lot.  Slow driving, keep looking.  Then practice in a quiet, non-residential street.  Just some easy driving.  You can mix that with parallel parking and backing up.  Then work your way up to a street with a little traffic.

  9. Buy a good pair of shoes and start walking. Scared and timid drivers are a menace to everyone else on the road.

  10. Well just try to get over it and just do it. If you don't your gonna end up like my mom, she was so scared so she never tried driving again, now she really regrets it cuz she's like 48 and doesn't know how to drive!!!!! sad hu?
