So I was in all honors for my freshmen year and it was pretty tough for me..I was so upset I got kicked out of honor classes math and spanish..The regular classes are so loud and don't learn much! ='( I waited like 1 hour like the rest of the people in my school to take this and try to change it but she said I got a 85 for both of the subjects for the final grade and to stay in honors, you must get at least a 88..I feel so stupid and my older sister has always been in all honors..my dad works so hard in his job..and I'm s******g up..

Sophomore schedule:

JROTC

AP Global

English honors

Chemistry honors

Lunch

Math regular ='(

Spanish regular ='(

  1. I went to a small high school that only offered two honors courses.  I took both of them, but never anything else terribly special.  Not only did I get into college, but I got into all the schools I applied to and graduated in four years.  My point is that if you do well in the courses you are in, get a good ACT/SAT score, and have plenty of extracurriculars, you should be fine.  In the grand scheme, it's not really that big of a deal -- although it may feel like one now.

    Study hard!  Good luck!!  :)

  2. Pull yourself together, sweetie. You are not s******g up. The program you've posted here is fairly rigorous. I advise you NOT to take more honors classes. You'll just run yourself ragged. I think you'll have plenty to do just keeping your grades up in all of these. Colleges will be fine with it. Remember you need to leave breathing room for some service-oriented work, 'cause colleges like to see some well-roundedness in an applicant, not just grades grades grades.

  3. all you have to do is try again and not mess it up AGAIN!!!!

  4. Those classes are fine, as long as you get good grades in them. Im starting my sophomore year as well, and also had to drop a few of my advanced classes. They are concidered "advanced" for a reason. The fact that you got into any honors classes is a good sign, and you are overall above average. Good luck =)

  5. dont feel too bad, it might be a blessing - you never know whats going to happen this year, either way your schedule is still very challenging and it wont matter too much when you apply for colleges because most of them only accept 2 honors classes per year

  6. this is only one tear ! there are 3 more to go. try harder this year. more study, less party. figure where you want to be 5 years from now.

figure what it's going to take to get there

    THEN DO IT !

    set goals

    create plan

    create plan B

    activate plan

  7. first of all, look at all those honors classes ur taking and then look at that ap. obviously ur not s******g anything up. and then, i want you to honestly think about the fact that u got an 85 in math and spanish and ur upset! an 85 is great and even if ur not in honors for those two subjects, think about how well uull do in the regular classes, considering tht u were doing well in the honors. cheer up! ur obviously smart and u work hard, everything will be jsut fine

  8. Don't worry there is always next year.  As long as you do good on your SAT's and have extra curricular activities you will be fine. So far cheer up...your young enjoy life. Good Luck :)

  9. Don't listen to that Samantha bee-yotch. She's a total douche bag. If anything, I think you actually have a pretty good shot of getting into college, it doesn't look that bad! It all depends on your GPA. If you have a 2.5 or below, then you need to worry. If you have a 2.8 or higher, then you have a good shot of getting into college, although I highly suggest getting a 3.0 or higher. If you don't have 3 F's, then don't stress yourself!

Never compare yourself to your sister. She's a different person. Don't make yourself feel bad because she was successful; you'll probably be successful too, if you just work hard enough and don't give up. In time, you will get better! (Take it from me. My freshman year sucked.) And you're not stupid, so stop telling yourself that now. I mean, you got into Honors! That proves you're smart right there.

What kind of math are you taking? Just curious.
