I only took one GCSE this year which was maths. There were two papers each was out of 100 so it should be a score out of 200 for those papers but on the website it says it's out of 480. This doesn't include the coursework its just the papers. I got 465 out of 480, can anyone tell me what I got out of 200 or how to find it out?

  1. I got happy when i got 477/480, but cswt says 96/120

i do not understand the marking system.

  2. Perhaps they added weighting to the paper?

    465/480 is 96.875%.

    96.875% of 200 is 193.75.

So you got (rounded up) 194/200.

But as you did so well in the paper, you knew how to work that out already...

  3. You can't find out from the points score your exact marks, but it will be about 97 marks a paper. It's all to do with the weightings of the paper (for example, my paper 1 was a joke it was so easy, so it'll have less points assigned to it than paper 2). That's a really high mark, so well done.

I got 480 out of 480, so I was very happy this morning! Who said state schools were bad?

  4. well its already been roughly workes out for you

but yay congrats on your A*. i got  449 and got an A* so you definitely have =]

  5. What is GCSE?

  6. I got just under 465 out of 480 no lie, and I got an A*. So you've got an A*! Well done :)
