I got my cartilage pierced i took the earring out recently and now the hole is gone theres a bump help!?

so..i got the cartilage pierced about three months ago and it recently stared hurting i couldn't sleep on that side were its pierced.. so i took it out about a day ago and planed on putting it back in. but the hole is completely gone. there's a bump now and i been putting peroxide on it but its not working. i figured the bump covered it up so I'm trying to be patient but i want the earring back in. i don't know what else i can possibly do. i don't think its infected because the bump has been there i figured it was normal. and i doubt its closed because the earring been out for only like two days. i don't know what to do. should i get it re pierced? or just wait for the bump to heal?

any ideas?

This has exactly happened to mine! Chances are, you still have the tiniest hole within the bump so use small jewelry and regularly clean it//

Mine has the same exact bump i had 4 cartilage piercings but i removed 3 because of thesee bumps and i just left 1 in , i put alcohol and sea water on it daily and it went away
