I got my finger shut in garage door what do i do?

it is not cut just swelling i can move it do i just keep ice on it

Keep the finger on ice.  This will help slow the blood flow to the finger.

If the finger nail is turning blackish, blood is flowing under it and the pressure of the blood may cause some pain.  Seek a medical clinic for professional release of pressure.  Sure it will cost you a few bucks.  But it's better than an infection setting in and really causing havoc on your body.
