I've always had a "bowel" problem. but I was told that it could be because I had a gallbladder problem (stones). I got it out, so why do I still have bowel problems? Has this happened to anyone else before?

  1. It will take a while for your body to adjust to not having a gallbladder.  I had mine out over 3 years ago and still have diarrhea sometimes.  And still have to hurry to the bathroom after I eat certain things.

  2. That's normal, it's from the operation.

Everything what's bad has to come out.

If you have serious belly pain, see the doctor.

  3. Now,It is a side affect from not having a gallbladder.  Is it yellow?  If so, that is bile.  The gallbladder stores bile, so when you get a high prduction of bile it has nowhere else to go.  Usually it happens 30 minutes to an hour after eating.  Usually it hits quick.  Usually it is over once you go.

Is this what is happening to you???

I had my gallbladder out 5 years ago.  It still happens to me.  Ask your surgeon if they can help you.
