  1. try going to dmv and ask them about it.. they wil tell you all you need to have

  2. If your license was suspended for driving without insurance, then yes, you will have to have insurance in order to get it back.

You will have to go to court and plead  your case to the judge.

  3. If you are using your mom's car and her insurance -- make sure YOUR name is on the policy before you go any further.

If your license was suspended for lack of insurance you may very well need to get SR22 insurance. Insurance for high risk people.

Call your local license branch and ask, they will be able to tell you more knowledgeably what is required.

  4. Go to the DMV and inquire about what is needed to clear your license. If you have unpaid tickets, you'll either have to make payment arrangements with the courts involved, and the courts will notify the DMV of the arrangements, or you must pay your fines/fees in full. As for insurance, you want to get a Broadform policy, this type of insurance covers you no matter what car you are driving. But, to get the insurance, you must have a clearance letter that the suspension has been lifted. If it was for no insurance(the suspension)you'll be required to  carry SR22 for probably a three year period. Again, the DMV will tell you what is required for you, everyone's driving record is different so your friends saying "this is what I did" may not apply to you at all.

  5. Call the license bureau.
