I got my wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago...?

Question

2 questions... 1) one of the holes is pretty much closed and the other is a huge deep hole that isnt getting even a little smaller.. is that normal?

and 2) is it okay to smoke yet?

You have a dry socket. Your dentist will be able to treat that for you, no problem. Don't smoke until this heals properly. The deep hole is because a blood clot dislodged and your bone is exposed.

if you had a dry socket you would know it. they are VERY painful and usualy have to be fixed through another surgery. if he said it was healing perfect he would lie. its his job to tell you. it is probably just healing at a different rate than the other side. just take extra good care of it. your mouth is the fastest healing part of your body so i wouldnt stress yet.. and i wouldnt smoke until it is healed. its easy for infections and stuff to grow in there. you are more than welcome to but you are running a huge risk. good luck.
