I got my xbox 360 last christmas and i never used my free month of xbox live, can i use it now?

im about to buy something that will give me connection to use the xbox live but idk if my free month has expired, or if i can still use it.

that's correct there's no expiration for the free month, u can just create anew gamer tag & when it asks to select ( silver membership - redeem code- gold membership) just select silver then confirm u want silver then will be promoted to the free month
