I have worn glasses for like... 13 years now, since I was young. I have astigatism. My 'old' glasses I had been wearing for almost 3 years. Are my eyes just adjusting to the new lens?

  1. yes, maybe. if after 2 weeks you are still having a problem, return to have the glasses checked to see if they were made properly to the eye doctors prescription. if so, then schedule an appointment with your eye doctor to have your vision rechecked.

  2. Glasses shouldn't give you a headache, if past the first few days take them back and double check the axis and power, thats where they put the prescription for your astigmatism. If thats right they need to make sure the ocular centers of the glasses are in the right spot for your pupils or you'll get headaches, a "pulling" sensation, nausea etc

  3. If it doesn't get better within like a week, then you'll need to get your perscription redone.

  4. Your eyes are trying to get adjusted to the new prescription of the lenses.  If your old lenses are 3 years old, then your new prescription may be quite a bit stronger.  For example, sometimes it takes people 2 weeks to a month to get use to progressive lenses (bifocals without the line in the middle of the lenses.)  But for me, I had no problems at all with my progressives.

Everyone is different, so just give it some time.  You should try to wear them most of the day for a week or so.  If they still bother you, talk with our optometrist....s/he may want to double check the prescription to make sure that they are correct.  Hopefully, it will get better as your eyes get used to the new lenses.  Good Luck!

  5. It's just you're imagination,

you have to get used to

    them girl.

  6. Yes your eyes are just getting used to the new glasses it might be because your prescription(sp) has changed a bit since you last went to the eye doctor

  7. its nothing like that it cuz they are prssuring you behind the ear that happens to me all the time and but some times they are just not the right ones for you maybe they are too tight or the grade is wrong you should really talk to your doctor about sideaffects with glasses you have to worry about a lot of things thats why i use contacts
