I got period blood on my new back to school shorts.. how did this happen?!!?

The only tampon I had in the house was a super one but the applicator was almost the size of a regular one so i was like whatever this will be fine, but idk what happened and i put it in wrong cause i could feel it kinda and then i went bike riding in my new back to school shorts that kinda were expensive (and white!) but how come when i use a slender one I'm fine, but when i use super, it leaks!?

was it because i went biking?

or was it because i used to wrong size?

or was it because i put it in wrong?

sometimes tampons leak, that why it is a good idea to at least wear a pantyliner with them. also more strenuous activity can cause leakage too,

Sometimes tampons just leak. It could be because you were biking or because you didnt put it in right. If i were you i'd just avoid wearing white when your on your period especially if your going to be doing something that active.

I would say you did not tug on it a little after insertion.  also cold water to remove blood,  also peroxide and amonia remove it also.

It could be a combination.You can fix your shorts by running some cool water over the stain and use peroxide that comes in a brown bottle.Pour it over the spot and scrub with your hands.I have used this countless times. There is a new sport tampon  I beleive from Playtex? Go for the tampons that are for active girls .Those seem to do better.Sometimes generi tampons and other brands aren't as secure.
