I swear by it.

We live in Washington, full of forest. Between the pitch that gets on my clothes, my kids' clothes and my wife and my cars... goo gone will get rid of it in about a minute.

I don't know really how to get something like this out, unless you use bleach.  then that could make a spot that would ruin the color of the shorts.  it they are jean or or a color.   Once when I couldn't get a stain out of my jean shorts I colored over it with some permanent color.  or you can stamp a design over the stain then color it with some permanent colors which you can buy at hobby lobby or wal-mart.   Or if you are artistic draw a desigh yourself over it and color it.   I drew a large sun flower over mine.  It didn't look bad.  Good luck
