  1. do you WANT to go in the army?  if not - I'd look to an apprenticeship - or perhaps retake the exams.  Plenty of options for you.  good luck

  2. Just because the education system has let you down there is no need to let your country fail you also. Getting shot is not the answer to your problem, finding a better educator may be a better answer.

  3. Loads you can do from college to apprenticeships. Make an appointment to speak with someone from connexions they can give you the advice you need and your options.

    All the best.

  4. I went to the Army but not for my 3.0 . Lol I went to have fun and become someone stronger for God to use in the future. I f you chose to go Basic training is all a game, and just take the physical activities and the yelling and do it knowing this was all planned to happen, and oh if you don't like to get called out do know the rules before you go in. And their is the Army national Guard too . as like the Navy and Air force. Pray about what does God have planed for you. Ask God to help you, chose. and if the Army or any service, talk to the Recruiter on getting skills sharpened before going into Basic training.their is always community colleges.

  5. I'm off to the Army soon aswell - dont think it is just for the low grade people lol.    What you could od is join the army and get more qualifications =]

  6. Go to college and do A-Levels or a vocational course at level 2 or 3 maybe?

You don't need great grades to get into college and sometimes the requirements are flexible too if you talk to the right lecturer at the interview. I only got 4Cs at GCSE (with no Bs!) and I'm in University now.

Only join the army if you really want to.

  7. Are you saying squaddies are thickos who didnt have any other option!

Get a life grrrl, some of us saw it as a calling, a duty, a secret wish, but not a Mc Job

    recce soldier

  8. it depends dude. but dont join the army if it's not wot you really want.

  9. Those grades really arnt that bad.

Personally I think you'd be wasted on the army, as you could do plenty of other things. remember GCSE's arnt everything, and theres many courses/apprenticeships/jobs you can do with those grades. Just get some college prospectuses and have a look through!

  10. depending on the country you live in you have different options. i live in england and im taking a BTEC. i can still go to university, but its not as hard:)

  11. you can start all over at a community college.. :) to be in the army you got to want it not just think of it as a way out because your not doing so great in school. Get an education and then if you still want to then join, but make sure its what you really want.. School really isnt that bad. :)

  12. I graduated from a four year private college with two degrees and a "A" average. I joined the Marines under Intel..... The military is not for "stupid" people only.

  13. Go and try the selection test, they will assess your academic skills and offer you the correst level of trade group. Just for information the army is not for people with low self esteem.

  14. you could try a vocational school.
