I got a notice saying Iam requested to go to court as a witness for the city

I HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN MY CAR FIXED SO WHAT IS THE POINT IN GOING?

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE CASE IS DISMISSED?

WILL IT AFFECT ME OR MY INSURANCE COMPANY IF IT IS DISMISSED?

  1. just go to court and tell them what happened. its not going to affect ur insurance or anything. chances are this guy didnt have insurance or was drunk or something, and thats why the city is taking him to court (as they would do in any instance such as DUI) and your a wittness b/c the jerk crashed into YOUR car.
