  1. Do you have warente on your camera?

Some cameras have like one year warente, this means you can send your camera in to the factory place, and they will send you a different new one.

  2. theres nothing u can do... its gone. buy a new camera. get an olympus that is sand/dustproof or get a camera with a protection  plan. sorry for the bad news :(

edit: not all olympus cameras are dustproof/sandproof. only the ones that dont have the lens that retracts. the olympus   750sw for example.

  3. That happened to my sister's camera last year. She tried taking it apart and it didn't help. She had to buy a new camera..

  4. Then you will have to wait until you can afford repairing it or buy a new camera ... that is it.

Forcing the lens out with sand in its mechanism, may only further damage your camera.
