I got so many viruses .. why is it?

i am NOT associated with anything important .. I am just ordinary person with nothing special. I am so tired of the trojans found everyday every time I scan my computer. and I got curious why someone would want to inject virus/trojan into my computer? hoping what information I might provide them? I don't download any illegal programs nor do I ever visit adult content websites.

While surfing the web. Ad banner and sites can give unwanted software. To avoid that I would suggest a good firewall,a good anti spyware program, and a antivirus. I would also download Mcafee Siteadvisor.

You should check whether your firewall is on and if you really want to rid this problem, I suggest buying McAfee Total Protection 2008.

Go to downloads.com and search for an anti-virus and/or download the free version of AVG. That should help

You don't have to download anything. There are lots of websites that look harmless that download trojans/viruses on your computer. If you really want to get rid of them permanently, your best bet would be to wipe your hard drive. Thats what I had to do a while back. I would recommend a firewall. Try Zone alarm.....its free. It can be annoying sometimes, but its less annoying and less harmful than Viruses. Here is the site:

Continue using antivirus and antspyware programs. I recommend AVG. Its free and is one of the best programs out there:

Better yet, buy a Mac or go with a Linux OS.....you'll be better off. Like Dunkin said, Ubuntu is great. (Its a Linux distro)

Do you use any downloading programs like Limewire? You can often download viruses along with your songs and not even know it.

If you have a roomie, or people who use your computer, they may be going adulty content sites. Also, downloading or going on some sites with malicious software bundled MAY be your problem.

Even secure websites can be hacked

Just downloading music, pictures, videos, and other files opens your computer to the internet, and all the malware floating around in it.

I would recommend Avast antivirus to get rid of any current viruses. It will also protect you in the future.

Use Ubuntu instead of windows.

How ever if you do not feel like using Ubuntu.

Stay off of Lime wire and P2P sites. and do not download all the dumb cutise stuff and yes AVG 8.0 is great software

Firstly you need to clean all the spyware on your computer. Alot of software is capable of doing this. I reccomend Avg. It saved my computer! Avg is easy to use and once you download it you'll know what to do.

I think it's sad why people would do this. I'm sorry that you have to go through this stage.

The internet appears to hate you. Your best option is to give up. Cry for a little while in the corner, then move on and do other things with your life.

you need to go to a computer fixer upper shop and get a new antivirus and antispyware software put in your computer and then ask them the fundementals of it,. My pc used to do that a lot if you have Norton or Syntec antivirus protection you need to switch to another one that is better because those to are not any good. i use avg protection and it has helped my pc. good luck with yur pc.

Get an antivirus like NOD32,AVG,Spybot(it's for spyware)......pick one... and ccleaner to clean your pc after...!!

And maybe try using Mozilla Firefox instead of the Internet Explorer that you use now!!

What web browser do you use?

I use FireFox and have had no viruses with that. Is also good to have a antivirus and spyware program running on your computer.
