  1. A person who is a Graduate or above do not need immigration Clarence stamp in his/her passport.

    As you are going for Ph.D you are not require immigration Clarence stamp, but just only visa.

  2. I am a PhD student as well, but I didnt not get any immigration clearance (to my knowledge for my own case)!

    Visa was more than enough, I would have thought so!
