  1. I have been keeping honey bees for several years now and i feel pretty confident about answering this one. Some form of benidryl or antihistamine will help with the itching and possibly the swelling if taken soon after the sting. You will receive lots of input about thinngs like meat tendorizer, tobacco, baking soda an other topical treatments. they are all just wives tales. I have tried and none seam to work. the venom of a wasp is different than that of a honey bee. a honey bees venom is an irritant used to defend the hive while a wasps venom is used to kill its prey. My best advice is to not rub or scratch and let it run its course. it is normal for it to be sore for a coupel of days

I have had stings itch and be sore for as little as a few minuts or as long as a weak

  2. Put a penny on the sting (Yes, a copper coin) and it will help soothe the itching and stinging.  Hold it on there for 15 or 20 minutes, see if it feels better by the next day.  Crazy, but something in the copper helps ease the sting!

  3. Wipe the cooling Preparation H paste on the sting site. The soothing properties that make Preparation H so effective on hemorrhoids can be equally effective on bee stings.

If you have aloe vera gel, mix the two into a paste for additional relief. An additional tip is to run an ice pack over the mixture.

Mustard is a vary good resourt fore bee stings.

The redness and Itching is normal, just do that is cool it off.

  4. i think bees have some kind of poison in the but im not sure its completley normal i had one of those when i went to open the mail box and one shot out on me

  5. GO SEE A DOCTOR DUDE!

  6. YOU NEED TO MAKE A DOCTOR  APPOINTMENT IN MORNING YOUR GO TO EMERNGRCY ROOM NOW GET OFF THE COMPUTER HAVE YOUR MOM DAD TAKE YOU GOOD LUCK?

  7. okay listen here i had something like this it was big and itchy but it wasn't a bee mine had gotten better in a few days but i sugesting going to a doctor

  8. Eventually your body will force out the poison.  Use calamine lotion to sooth the itch and try not to mess with it too much.

Don't worry, you're not dying or anything.

  9. kiss it

  10. go to the doctor

  11. i got stung too, it turned electric green and sparkly blue, it started growing out living animals like baboons and tortises, it grew purple mold and started smelling like mutant ninja monkeys swinging off slimy tree arms...

went to the doctor and he said it wasnt normal

thinking you should do the same.

  12. No need to worry.  Bee stings are dangerous in 3 ways:

    1) People who are very allergic to them can go into shock and die.  This happens minutes after the sting.

    2) Pulling the stinger out can release more of the toxin into your body (but you still need to do it) so I guess maybe that could put someone "over the edge" of what they can tolerate, and you'll have the same thing as in #1.

    3) Each time you get stung, your tolerance for bee stings in the future can become a tiny little bit less.

So...since it's been 3 days and you haven't died yet, you'll be fine.  They normally take a while to heal, just like mosquito bites.  Try your best not to scratch it.  But because of #3, try to be careful in the future to not get stung.

If you're going to do the penny thing suggested below, please at least put disinfectant on the penny first, otherwise your just inserting bacteria from everyone who's handled that penny straight into a wound, which is stupid.

(PS I know it's a long shot, but I have a friend named MJ who looks a little like your avatar.  If you live in Lafayette, Indiana...hi!)

  13. In addition to whatever you do to treat it get some benedryl.  It will help the itching.  We always made a paste of baking soda and water, or if available tobacco.  This was done immidiatly after the sting to draw out the poison so don't know if it will help after such a long time.

  14. yes GO C A DOC AND STOP TOTURING URSELF

  15. I would agree, go see a doctor. Do not scratch, if you have to relief the itchy feel rub it with some alcohol as id you scratch you might make an open wound and possibly start and infection.

  16. try cold compress, if didnt work go to a doc.

the reason is u pressed the sting while pulling out, thus injecting more poison in.
