  1. meat tenderizer will work.

  2. On the John Tesh Radio Show he recommend vinegar and making sure all the stingers are out.

  3. If it's really bed, go to the ER, but if it's kind of ok, pour some vinegar on it.  Don't pee on yourself!  It'll sting more than the vinegar.  Hope this helped!

  4. I've been in this boat too (jelly fish stings on one arm and both legs and a little on my stomach about four years ago) and i was too chicken to let someone pee on it (Yes it does help)

The beach guy said a solution of 10 parts water to 1 part bleach, so we got that stuff, mixed it, set some towels with the mixture onto my stings, and it worked...though this was directly after the sting

Unless the pain is utterly excruciating, I don't think you'd need to go to the ER, I didn't for mine...and trust me I know how you feel :)

  5. pee on it no lie

  6. I heard you're supposed to urinate on yourself. I remember someone telling me it'll help

  7. I heard meat tenderizer, but you should go to the ER if you can. Try lidocaine cream too. Sorry for you. HOpe you feel better.

  8. pee on it, no seriously its the best treatment. you can also go to the ER and they can treat it too. Its the ammonia in the urine and urine is sterile so its safe.

  9. if it hurts a lot, see a doctor.  if it hurts enough to bother you but is not too painful then go to the chemist and ask them for something to put on it (do they sell Stingoes or something similar?)

  10. Pee on it.....seriously to ease the pain for now.  But then go to the doctors and have them look at it, so it doesn't get worse

  11. Vinegar helps and with taking the stingers out but vinegar does not work with man o war jelly fish but that wasn't what you got stung by trust me.  Also don't pee on yourself.  People who say that have no experience with jelly fish or medical things.  It is just a joke.

  12. 1) your boyfriend is pretty stupid.

    2) if it doesn't hurt or you don't feel sick, you should be ok.

    3) (i know it's nasty but) you can put urine on it to help. The ammonia work well, but you can get ammonia in other things too.

    4) if it looks to be getting bad, or you start to get sick - you need to go to a doctor see make sure you aren't allergic.

Edit to the guy below me - Yes there are test to PROVE urine's effectiveness on jelly stings (along with many other). The ammonia in urine is the cause.

  13. You can safely use vinegar on a jellyfish sting. Be sure there are no traces of tentacles still in you. If so they should be removed carefully with tweezers.

There is no supported scientific theory about urine and jellyfish stings. Use vinegar!
