It had wings and a body shape like a bee, it was black with thin white lines down it's body (horizontilly), green eyes like a bees, and stung me with the end of it's tail. I have researched on some bees and wasps but I can't find a positive looking match, It didn't leave a stinger but it Stung and left a little red lump.

  1. oh that's got to hurt does it have some black in it

  2. Where did it sting you?

  3. It was some type of wasp.  Wasps don't leave stingers behind, honeybees do.  There are literally hundreds of different types of wasps, so it is not surprising that you haven't found it yet.  If you are really curious, try contacting your state's Department of Agriculture and asking for the Apiary Division - they may be able to tell you, based upon local insect populations.

(BTW - honeybees have black eyes, not green.)
