I really want to pick Adrian Peterson based on his skill and last year! My draft is in a hour so I need something fast.

  1. You can't go wrong with either one.  Both are sure studs.  I guess I would take LT as he is proven and behind a good line.  Some injuries last year for Peterson, he needs to show a full year of health before he can pass LT in the fantasy rankings.  But if you went with Peterson, you'd be happy too.

  2. LaDainian Tomlinson he always pratice what he preaches dont get me wrong Ad is a good back butter yet u cant go wrong with eihter of them

  3. LT because he's a lot better football player.  I think you should wait until about the fourth round, maybe the fifth, but somebody might have him by the fifth round.  Just wait til the fourth round.

  4. I would take LT because he is consistent with his numbers in fantasy every year. You know what your going to get from him. Peterson could get injured or have a sophomore slump and then u wasted your first pick on him. LT is more of a guarantee bet.

  5. The only good reasons that I could think of not to take LT #1 would be if you're in a league with non-standard scoring rules that emphasizes QBs or WRs or if you're in a new keeper league. I had him #1 on the draft lists for all my leagues again this year. There isn't any real reason to think he won't merit the pick again this year in most leagues - he's on one of the top teams, he's still in the good age range. On top of that, he plays the KC, Denver, and Oakland D's twice each. Last year they were #28, 30 and 31 against the run and gave up 49 TDs on the ground. I don't see any reason to expect a huge improvement this year. The Jets, Dolphins, Bills, and Falcons were all also in the bottom 8 run defenses last year and all are on the SD schedule this year.

However, I certainly wouldn't criticize taking Peterson if he's who you want.

  6. I agree, LT is the much safer choice.  I have Petterson but got to keep him in a keeper league.  I would trade him in a heartbeat for LT.

  7. I would go with LT if your also going to get Darren McFadden. If you cant get Darren go with Adrian, i think he did prove himself pretty well last year. And with more experience will get better. And LT got off to a slow start last year.

I would hold Darren McFadden off for as long as you can. Maybe 3rd round

  8. Growing up in Oklahoma you know I love AD but I can't take him over LT at least not this year. LT is a shoe in to get 15-25 points a game and rarely gets hurt do to his running style. During his time with OU AD was off the field for an injury in the majority of games at some point. He is an unbelievable athlete but the chance of him getting injured due to his running style is to big of a risk compared to the #1 RB in the NFL. Plus you have the Chester Taylor factor. As far as McFadden there are other rookies I would rather reach for and not have to give up a top 3 pick, such as Kevin Smith and Matt Forte. You will have to pull the trigger by the 3rd round on McFadden and that is much to early when you can get one of these guys a couple of rounds later and they are for sure the starters.

  9. LaDainiain Tomlinson. At least for this draft. He never ran less than 1235 yards in a season and he worths a lot in points per reception (+370 yards/season) Peterson have one good year in the bank so what?  Everybody can have a good year.

Draft Mcfadden in the third or fourth round but be sure to draft a good backup dude.

  10. LT is the better fantasy back without question, He can score points not only running and catching the ball, but passing it as well.

Peterson had a couple of spectacular games last year but without them he has 40% fewer rushing yards and half as many TD. A good fantasy back should be fairly consistant and remain strong as the season progresses but that didn't apply to Peterson's performance last year when he basically disappeared after Week 12. Factor in the injury risk associated with him not only in the pros but while he was in college and I don't even have him in my top 5 RBs.

Take Peterson at #1 if you want but don't expect to win your league.

As for McFadden, if you're in a league of reasonably intelligent fantasy players he'll be on the board until at least the 8th-9th round. I'd take his former college teammate, Felix Jones, before him.
