i got the hurmit crab hut or whatever from petco and is it good? i keep hearingi need a 10 gallon with a light? i got 1 hermie will he die in the tiny hurmit crab hut

It probably wont die, hermit crabs are actually pretty active and like to move around...A LOT, a tiny tank kit that you buy at a pets store is not adequate housing for even a small hermit crab. also, hermits crabs are social animals and pretty much have to be in pairs. Research about animals before you get them!

No he'll be fine ^__^ I'd recommend getting one to two more hermies though, they're very social. (suprisingly) Keep their humidity up by misting it and try to keep eair out. Household fans or AC could be harmful for them. need any more help? Let me know!

i have 2 hermit crabs with 2 hermit crab coconut shell huts in it with a light i turn on whenever i think to,and a water dish and they have been alive for 2 years so i would say yours should be fine for now

how big is the hurmit crab? if he is bigger then 1-2 inches then u probably should get a 10 gallon  with a little light but if hes not that big then he should be fine.

i went to petsmart and bought  small logs the logs are great because the crabs dig under then and use the logs as a roof.

I had two and they would do stuff together like this funny dance, they would lift their shells up and down, kinda bouncing and looking at each other. Other times they would click and squeak while in separate corners, they had a small tank but it was humid enough for them, a tiny heat pad under one side where the water was and misting them. I had to keep it clean and replace the mossy substrate a lot. I had them for years and years until one day I think they became sick with a cold or flu and they both died within a week. They are delicate little creatures. Do your best on research, and always have a larger assortment of shells for them to choose from. They love to inspect other shells, so if you don't get another one, put lots of shells in there so he may think there is another one in one of them somewhere until you get another one.
