*sigh* Why do people keep falling for this c**p? You cannot win a contest you never entered...period. Yahoo and Microsoft do not run lotteries...period. Anyone dumb enough to send their personal info to strangers and get scammed deserve it...period.

This definitely looks like a phishing scam. A legitimate organization would never solicit information from you via email, nor would they send you emails about lotteries or contests you just happened to be entered in (legit contests require active participation from the entrant and will notify you of the rules and regulations when you opt in). Also, this email is littered with bad grammar and spellings, a telltale sign of a fraudulent email. Finally, given the email address, it&#039;s safe to assume that the email didn&#039;t come from someone working at that organization (though it&#039;s never really safe to assume the legitimacy of an email solely on the sender, as email addresses can be easily spoofed by phishers).

I would advise you not to respond in any way to this message. Instead, I would contact Yahoo&#039;s security team as they would likely be interested in stopping such fraudulent emails from being sent. Look in Yahoo&#039;s help pages for more information on their anti-fraud policies.
