  1. I'm a bit naughty and chuck all sorts of stuff into my tank to see if they eat it.

The corys really liked fresh mango, I put some boiled potato in the other night and the guppies thought that was really good, as well as the usual peas and blanched zucchini.

I gave them some avocado too (not leaves skin or seeds, that is poisonous).

Only put a small amount in, especially if it is something weird and take out the uneaten bits after 24 hours.

Don't give them too much food, or you will make them sick and the water dirty.

  2. 12 hours.

Small quantities, these are suppliments to regular food.

For the Corys, morning, and for the Pleco, just before "lights out".

    Yes.

For the Corys, take the outer "skin" off of rinsed, canned peas and gently smash them against the glass near the bottom.

  3. Corys are not picky eaters and will eat almost anything you give them, you can feed them good quality tropical fish food, just make sure that they get some, as them stats in the bottom of the tank and will not go after the go after the food like other fish would.

  4. You better watch them danios with guppies. You can put one piece of Iceberg lettuce in,take it out the next day,yes they will eat it probably at night. You pleco will munch on it too, they make a lettuce clip for tanks but your fish that you want to feed ,feed off the bottom. The clips are mostly for Tangs and stuff.

  5. 1" slices of Zucchini, cukes lettuce squash etc.

If you are using fresh zucchini or cukes you can leave them in the tank for 4-5 days.  (No they won't start to decompose)  Chances are your fish will have them eaten by then.

Give it to them when you feed and just leave it in the tank.

Don't be suprised if your other fish nibble as well.
