Question:

I got this cat?

I have this cat that I had for a very long time. He pukes often so I kick him outside. Not literally but I put him outside for what he did. Not as punishment but because the intervals are random like 3 or 4 and are distant from each other. I cut it down simply by putting the cat outside. Is that alright. I would label the cat as a somewhat loyal and inside kind of cat. So again would it be alright or will that cause conflict?

  1. More importantly you need to look at why he's being sick all the time, what are you feeding him?, experiment with different foods and get him checked out.

  2. Your cat can't help vomiting.  Nor can he understand why he's being put outside.

He probably has an allergy to the type of food you're feeding him.

It would be nice to know what you're feeding him...

A lot of cats have allergies to grain in food.  I believe Nutro does have grain and corn.

Try switching him to a grain-free, corn-free food... holistic, natural:

    Innova Evo

    Solid Gold

    Wellness

    Timberwolf Organics "Serengeti"

  3. Dont put him outside. He might think you hate him, or have told him " heyy, i dont want you anymore, Peace" Since hes an indoor cat, he doesnt know how to live in the wild, he could get seriously hurt. Hope this helps !

  4. i think you should contact our vet about the situation. its not his fault he is vomiting. and he probably wont understand why he's being put outside, either. he cant make himself stop puking. a cat cant be punished for doing something he cant help.

i have a kitten, and he doesnt vomit. i suggest IAMS food , or anti-hairball food. maybe even try science diet, but talk to your vet first

  5. What is he vomiting up? Hairballs? Food? Mouse parts? Is he losing weight? If he is your loyal pet, take him to the vet. Find the cause of his vomiting, rather than just scooting him outside. You owe him that much.

  6. that's what i would do if i was in your place...

  7. I understand putting the cat outside, but maybe you could put him into the bathroom or utility room instead with some toys (vinal floors are much easier to clean!).  Having him outside can be dangerous for him.  Even if he were to stay in your yard you never know when an another animal will come by.  Even another cat can seriously injure your cat not to mention what a larger animal could do.

You really should look into what is causing your cat to vomit so much.  From personal experience, I have a cat that has allergy related asthma.  I have to give him medicine for it.  He vomits when his allergies start bothering him.  Also, cats can have chronic pancreatitis.  Your cat may have something as simple as hairballs (which can be treated by brushing and feeding special food).

A quick trip to the local vet could fix all of your cat's problems.  If money is an issue, contact your local humane socity, cat rescue group, etc... and see if they have resources that can help you.

  8. no wat u are doin is perfectly fine. if he is a loyal cat he wont run away....also another thing to look at is his food it might be to rich for him to handle and if u spoil him and give him scraps of plates and stuff like that...my aunt had a dog that she spoilt like that and he kept throwing up everywhere as well...she took him to the vet and thats what they said his eatingto much rich food for him to handle....

    hope that helps

  9. no that is fine, that will make less messes for you to clean up. dont worry about it. my cat barfs a lot too.
