Well, I live in Ohio first of all, but yes, I do buy alot online and they said that's how I was automatically chosen. So I think it's a total fraud and I'm about to tear it to pieces, then I flip the paper over and there is a real Cashier's Check enclosed from Huntington National Bank in Columbus, Ohio. That is also a popular bank here in Ohio. The check is authentic, and it's a real Cashier's Check and it's for $2830.00. What should I do with this?

My neighbor said it's a phony, but the bank says it's a real check from they're bank.

  1. its FAKE  big time

    DO NOT cash

there is no such thing as an international lottery

what happens if that type of check is cashed...all your banking #'s are on ther and once the check is returned to the so called bank ..your account wil be cleaned out..and guess what the check will bounce as high as the moon

  2. This was an older fraud scam.  When you cash the cheque it is NSF, therefore no funds to clear it and the bank holds you for the amount............WATCH OUT take it to the police fraud squad now.  I have never heard of a lottery giving money out that you did not buy a ticket for in Canada.........there are so many awful scammers beware.

    take care now

  3. What if they send me a cashier's check?  Can't I just cash it?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! The check or money order you have received is certain to be COUNTERFEIT or stolen. If you cash it, you will be responsible for the entire amount.  You may also be arrested for fraud.  Legitimate lottery winnings are sent by check using DHL, UPS, or FedEx. The check has the lottery company name on it, no other names! The address, phone numbers and any other information on the check will match the real lottery company. It will be one that you can verify on your own, without asking the people who wrote the letters, such as doing Google search on the name of the lottery and visiting their website.

If you have any other question regarding this topic contact me thnx.

  4. Shred it, it's not a real check.

When did you enter this "lottery?

You didn't. Well then its a scam, you can't win if you don't enter.
