I got this fish?

i was in soutern florida and i caught a fish and it was smaller but it was gent and then thsat faded to red and the fins were red what kind of fish is it?

i think it might be  a pumkinseed but i need a lot more details to tell for sure.

almost any type of saltwater fish when caught show their normal color then when they die their lips,and fins turn red.
