  1. well I guess its kind of lke strawberries, how the whole friut is pretty much the seed.

Good Luck! Hope you find a good answer to your question soon.

  2. the fruit is the seed i think (in fruit is seeds ) so i think that would be true it would just be a big seed

  3. OK to help you understand this I'll give an example: -

    1) A banana is a fruit, .....banana has seeds in it's fruit.

    2) An apple is a fruit, apple seeds are found on the inside of the fruit in the apple core.....you see where I'm going here !

    3) A coconut is a fruit, within it's fruit is the seed !

  4. Definition for fruits is a ripen ovary with ovules.

As for coconut the husk part is its ovary and the coconut is the ovules or its seed.

so it does fit the definition of fruits.though we use its seed as a food, not the husk.

  5. seeds are in the fruits. so methinks ur eating the inside of the seed, which classfies it as a fruit.....wait no......GOD DAMMIT now im confused........whatever! just accept it as it is! coconuts are obviously very wizard fruits/seeds. so bleh!

  6. Seeds are found inside fruits. The fruit is typically the initial energy supply used by the seed to germinate and produce its first leaves.

  7. I have a farm in a very tropical place, and there were lots of palm trees. Some of the ones that were not harvested, fell to the floor and, oh surprise, a palm tree began growing inside the coconut. If you´ve tried them, you´ll know thew can have, depending on the maturity of the fruit, either lots of water, not all that sweet and very scarse pulp, or less water, really sweet and a very hard and tasty pulp (we call it meat). Also, mangoes, once you´re done with them, if you brake the seed, you´ll find a smaller one inside. Hope it helps.

  9. Not all palm trees bear coconuts. "Palma de Coco's" do.

They typically thrive in arid regions where there is little ground

moisture. The outside of the coconut, which consists of the

hard, thick shell and hair is the seed. The fruit is on the inside of the seed, whereas with most fruits, the seed is inside the fruit.

The fruit is filled with moisture/ water/ fluid/ whatever or "milk".

and the outer layer (seed) contains and protects the "milk"

    so the fruit can survive.

  10. Think about other fruits... alot have the seeds inside of them. coconuts dont fall to the grown all brown and such.

  11. It makes perfect sense. The fruit usually surrounds the seeds, like in apples, berries, pears, lemons, oranges, etc. The flesh of the fruit has sugars (energy) and nutrients the fruit needs in order to grow. A fruit can be a seed as well, it just so happens that instead of several small seeds, the fruit is one.

  12. in botanical terms, it's a seed

in culinary terms, it's a fruit

GENERALLY, fruits are the tissue that plants build around their seeds to provide a nourishing medium and to attract other animals that can eat the fruit thus help spread the seeds around... in the case of a coconut, the tissue surrounding the seed is limited to the "hair" on it
