I got ticket beacause my three passenger in the back seat didn't put the seat belt and its $276 is it alright?

i mean they were all over 21 they are not kids...........ok and the thing is wat if i tell them to put the seat belt on and wat if they put it on and then take it off then after i start the carthen i can't check their seat belt every 5 minutes they are not kids give them ticket not the driver its alright if they are under 18 ......still minor ........but they are adult ........You can't drive a car and check the seat belt for passenger front one is ok cuz you can see them but not the back ones...............please give me a answer should fight it and how?

You cant fight this, you are the driver and you are responsible for the passengers and if they do not want to wear their seat-belts then they do ride with you, its the law........

It doesn't matter the age, the actions of the passengers are always the responsibility of the driver. If you feel so strongly that they are at fault, make them pay your fine.

If you asked them to put the belts on, and they did not, then I would make them pay the fine. Does your state have a seat belt law? If it does, then the guys in the back seat should have put them on without being asked.

i don't understand why they got a ticket.  in ohio only kids under four foot need to have seats and belts.  (i thought)

were they being rowdy and got the attention of the cop?

why would he even notice they didn't have on belts?

yes you are supposed to be in control of your passengers, so i guess next time tell them if they aren't buckled they have to get out.

it's going to cost you more in lawyer fees than the ticket.  so i wouldn't fight it.  you could always ask the judge but all that will do is add on court costs to the fine.

you could ask your passengers to help pay the ticket.

or you could just look at it as a learning experience and the price of driving.
