Question:

I got to get back in shape! Can you help plz?

Ok I'm about 5'8 and weight about 163 pounds. I'm 17 years old. Now being 160 some pounds isn't all that bad for a 17 year old. The problem is that it isn't muscle. Now I'm not fat but most of the fat I do have is near my belly area. I wanna turn this 160 pounds to mostly muscle.

Also, I'm really out of shape. In about 3 months soccer season is going to start and I'm soing to be in my senior year. I wanna be in top shape so I know I got to get out there and start running.

Any advice would be helpful.

  1. i feel ya. but i have some advice. dont worry about your weight!! because when you lose fat and gain muscle it wont mean you will necesarily lose weight you know? just worry about burning the fat. dont look at the scale, look in the mirror. b.c in the end who cares how much you weigh when you look great?!

    as for the running part. motivation is the hardest part. once you motivate yourself to do it, running will get easier every day. its all in the head. Im on the track team and my coaches all say that running is 97% mental. and its true. if you dont motivate yourself mentally to go out and run, you wont. just like if you mentally dont puysh yourself during a race, you wont win. I used to think this was really stupid and not true but i got a personal record, a medal and first place in a huge race.

    so now that ive completely babbled on, just tell yourself to go out there and work out. cardio burns fat. and trust me dont worry about how much you weigh.

    just diet and exercise...only aerobic exercise to loose fat like running or swimming
