What's the manufacturers suggested retail price? Also, if i buy the phone without a plan for at&t, can i transfer my old sim card form my older phone without any penalties? And, i've seen many reviews on the w760. Some say the phone lags, while others say it's perfectly fine. What's the real verdict and are there ways to correct the problems? Please tell me your stories so i can truly choose. Thanks for the help!

  1. There really is not MSRP like with cars and such for the phone because it is released internationally and depending on the area of release the price will be reflected accordingly based on target age group, other available phones, the comparative amount of features it has with other phones, etc.

Yes, you can use the w760i with an AT&T sim card, BUT you either need to buy it factory unlocked or get it unlocked.  If you buy it from, say t-mobile, it will come as a locked phone that has the t-mobile carrier restricition.  If you unlock it, this restriction is removed and you can use it with any SIM card company.  There is no penalty for unlocking a phone.

The w760i is like any other SE phone, the only "lag" you will experience on the phone is when you first boot the phone and try to immediately navigate to menus.  But like with a computer, there is a small amount of time you should let it fully boot before you start programs.  If you wait maybe 10 seconds to let it boot before you start doing anything it'll be fine.  Another reason the phone would "lag" is that some people will place 100 mp3 files in their music folder for the phone.  Obviously this will take a longer loading time than if you split those 100 mp3 files into smaller groups.  If you have 20 files in a folder, there is no "lag" that is experienced.

Hope that this helps, I use a lot of SE phones and I've never run into any problems.  The only time "bad" things happen to the phone is when people are impatient with it or they do things with it that they're not supposed to.
