I grew an avocado plant 18 months ago. It's fine and tall but along side it grew a second stalk?

from the same pit. It's shorter and smaller but should I put them in different pots or just let them grow together? I'm afraid they will die if I pull them apart. I've staked them because they are starting to lean. Thanx for your help.

2 plants one pit? you could just snip the smaller one. eventually they will grow together. also take note since you started from a pit, this tree will not be a "variety". there fore you cant be sure how the fruit will turn out. could be bad or good.
