I am a Moslem girl. My Parents married me off at the age of 14, so don't tell me this does not happen in the good ol' U.S. By the time I graduated highschool, ALL the girls in my class were married, except one. My Mother is my Fathers third wife.

Are there different rules for different people in the U.S.?

And, how come the legal system wanted nothing to do with all 22 of us young girls? I am now 33 years old and a widow.

  1. Well, in the US, it's illegal to get married before the age 18 without a parent consent.

And usually it's looked down upon if you do get married at such a young age.

Although there are people who do, like Jamie Spears, sister of Britney Spears, for example, it's because she has a baby and the general population of the USA would look down on her.

It's considered really trashy, unless it's because of religious or

    cultural reasons.
