I had a night guard molded for my teeth by the dentist, but I don't always use it. Sometimes I do and then I wake up and it's laying on the floor. I guess I take it out in the middle of the night. Anyway, I know I'm grinding my teeth really bad because I've only used the night guard for about 20 nights total and the plastic is all worn down where my molars are. When I feel the inside of my cheek with my tongue, it feels rough. Sometimes when I look in my mouth with a flashlight, I see white lines/areas of dead skin. Do you think that grinding my teeth could cause me to bite the inside of my cheeks? Any tips on how I can make the inside of my cheeks smooth again?

  1. their are these mouth protecters for that they cover all your top and bottom teeth and there is a thick plastic in between it so you cant grind your teeth at night go in google and look up nighttime mouth guard

  2. you need to take some muscular relaxants to relax your muscles & your mind. Because of over thinking you develop bruxism.

  3. yes, it is causing irritation to your skin.  Try  getting moled for a retainer.  They are tighter and smaller than night guards.
