When will he get it thru his stupid liberal head it is no of the Gov. problem, people who live free have the right to make stupid decisions, and they and only they should pay for it.Who does he think he is using my hard earned money for others stupid or careless actions?

  1. I read the article you linked and I think his position on the issues did not appear unreasonable.  I can understand your position and, to a large extent, I feel the same way.  However, it appears that the problems that people put themselves into create huge problems for society in general and these problems translate into government problems.

It's a catch 22 for the government.  If it doesn't do something to bail out folks who find themselves in unfortunately circumstances that could put them out on the street, the number of homeless could increase significantly and create yet other problems that impact everyone else.  Crime would increase, the number of people applying for disability would go up, the economy would be further adversely impacted, etc. etc. etc.

One way on the other, it is something that Government will have to deal with.  It may actually be better off helping people keep their houses and their jobs.

P.S.  I haven't decided who to vote for yet.  I'm still studying the issues.

  2. Not sure how to answer, but I agree with your premise.

P.S. to Badjuju:  High corporate taxes is the reason jobs are going over seas. Corporations don't pay taxes, no matter what tax rates are at, they collect taxes. They aren't in business to loose money.

Raise taxes on Corporation and they are forced to raise prices, cut wages and benifits, lay-off employees or go out of buisness, which helps noone. Unless you want to force them to stay in buisness, set there prices, tell them who to higher and how much to pay them, and forbid them from exporting their production out of the country; all at GUN POINT mind you. That sounds like a greet Communistic utopia to me.

  3. I wonder if he's for corporate welfare and corporate bailouts -- you know, the conservative version of socialism?  Privatize the profits, socialize the losses -- all paid for by working-middle class taxes.

It's funny that democracy requires a strong-middle class and at least Obama's policies help build a stronger middle class, whereas neoconservatives economic policies/tax policies and deregulation does the exact opposite, steal from the poor to give to the rich.  Who loves democracy again?  Who is a patriot?

  4. Yea well someone has to try and do something about the stupid people of america.

  5. I feel the smae way

  6. Obama believes the Nanny State should benefit everyone.  Republicans have been maintaining a Nanny State as well, except they only care about taking care of wealthy people and private businesses.  Since Trickle Down Economics is a sham, Barack believes its time to share the wealth and stop ignoring the lower class.
