  1. Maybe after you have gotten over losing the gerbils, you can get another pet like a rabbit or a dog; even a cat will do. Dogs tend to be more loyal while cats, rabbits, and pocket pets are more independent.

Once you sell an animal you shouldn't try to get it back. Think it over well before you make a decision on selling/giving away a pet.

  2. Well once you sold it, you really can't take it back unless the other guy really doesn't want it. If you feel lonely, why not get another gerbil or any other type of rodent?

  3. it could me time for a change (hate to say this as i love gerbils) but maybe you should get a new rodent now a great time to do  it,

  4. Why did you sell the other one?  Is it because you were too sad about the first one dying?  I understand that, but you really have to not make huge decisions like that when you're in emotional distress... an important lesson, though a harsh way to learn it... if you had a negative change in your money or living situation and felt that the gerbil would get better care somewhere else, then it wouldn't make sense to try to put it back in that situation.

If whoever you sold the gerbil to is attached to it, it wouldn't be fair to them to ask for it back, and it wouldn't be fair to the gerbil either because it needs one forever home.  Animals need stability.  They'll probably let you visit and babysit the gerbil when they go on vacation, though.

  5. Buy a turtle. They live until 100 years old.
